After a BUD/S injury forced a new direction, Navy veteran Timothy Cobb turns reinvention into a business philosophy.
Orlando, Florida – September 16, 2026 – Six years in the U.S. Navy. A Naval Achievement Medal after deployment to the Middle East, then a place in Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL school (BUD/S) Class 301, the training pipeline for Navy SEALs. During training, a hip injury requiring full reconstructive orthopedic surgery in October 2013 forced Cobb to confront a decision that would ultimately reshape his career: rebuild the path he had planned, or build a new one.
Cobb chose to build.
The experience became the foundation for a broader philosophy around resilience, reinvention, and performance that now spans commercial real estate, sales, media, entrepreneurship, and professional speaking.
That philosophy is reflected in Rebuilt & Forward (rebuiltandforward.com), Cobb’s personal brand focused on resilience, sales performance, and veteran transition. It is also the subject of his memoir, Rebuilt: From The Military To Entrepreneurship, which chronicles his transition from military service to entrepreneurship and the lessons that emerged from rebuilding his career after an unexpected setback.
Cobb later published Selling Without Selling: How To Sell Anything To Anyone, introducing his F.O.R.W.A.R.D. sales system. The system was developed through Cobb’s career moving from military communications into marketing, sales, and commercial real estate.
“The injury took away one identity I’d built my whole plan around. What I learned afterward is that resilience isn’t a single comeback; it’s a system you can apply to any reinvention, whether that’s a person rebuilding a career or a business rebuilding its market position,” Cobb said.
That perspective now extends into the business structure Cobb has developed under Cobb Capital Partners, LLC (capitalcobb.com).
Acquisition CRE (acquisitioncre.com), founded by Cobb in 2018, is a Florida-based commercial real estate investment and advisory firm providing fee-based advisory services to investors and property owners.
Uglaaa Media (uglaaa.com) is a content and brand-building agency serving small and mid-sized businesses. The company represents another part of Cobb’s career that developed after he transitioned from the military into marketing, sales, and entrepreneurship.
Rebuilt & Forward extends the same philosophy into speaking and sales training. Through the platform, Cobb shares lessons from his military-to-entrepreneurship transition and applies the F.O.R.W.A.R.D. methodology to sales performance and professional development.
CobbSellsFlorida is Cobb’s real estate sales brand, while Cobb Ventures (cobbvc.com) serves as an incubator focused on early-stage ventures.
The structure is intentional. Rather than relying on a single business, industry, or professional identity, Cobb has built a portfolio that allows him to work across several areas while maintaining a common focus on business development, communication, sales, and long-term growth.
“I didn’t want optionality to just be a buzzword. I built a structure that lets me move between real estate advisory, content strategy, and speaking without any one of them being the only path forward. That’s the same principle I learned from BUD/S: don’t tie your identity to one outcome,” Cobb said.
Cobb’s academic background reflects the range of disciplines represented in his work. He holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Florida’s Warrington College of Business, a Master of Science in Real Estate Finance & Development from UNC Charlotte, and a Master of Architecture in Land Use Planning from Texas A&M University.
The combination of military experience, formal education, and entrepreneurship has shaped Cobb’s approach to professional reinvention. Rather than treating career setbacks as isolated events, he views them as opportunities to reassess the skills, experience, and perspective that can be carried into a new direction.
That idea is central to Rebuilt & Forward and continues to influence Cobb’s work across his businesses.
Rebuilt & Forward now delivers speaking engagements and sales training workshops focused on resilience-based leadership development, veteran transition, and practical sales methodology. The platform connects the lessons of Cobb’s personal experience with broader applications for individuals and organizations navigating change.
